PC Hardware curriculum provides an introduction to the computer hardware and software skills needed to help meet the growing demand. Students who complete this course will be able to describe the internal components of a computer, assemble a computer system, install an operating system, and troubleshoot using system tools and diagnostic software.

Hardware Module - 1

  • BIOS and CMOS setup.

  • Introduction to Printers. Impact Printers & Configuring a Printer.
  • Introduction to Non impact Printer. Working principle of Non Impact Printers.
  • Introduction to Modem, Internal Modem, External Modem. Dial-up & Broad band Connection, Configuration of Modem.
  • Introduction to Motherboard, South Bridge, North Bridge, Types of Bus, PCI Slot, and ISA Slot. Virtual Memory. Difference between SDRAM, DDR, DDR1, DDR2, DDR3 RAM
